Lower A-arm Fail

I have a 2013 Pro RMK with 800 miles on it. Saturday after eating lunch, I slowly pulled out towards a meadow when my left ski glanced over a hidden rock buried in the snow. It wasn't a direct hard hit and I was going pretty slow. I heard a pop sound on my left and stopped in the meadow to inspect. The glue failed on the lower a-arm on the back side. I couldn't believe such a minor glancing hit off the top of a rock would cause this failure. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with the stock a-arms. I researched after market and decided to go with the Alternative Impact 36" a-arm kit. I called Dan on Sunday and have my new kit already. It arrived today. I'm stoked to get them on my sled and try it out. I had a couple of conversations with Dan and he is really a great guy. His customer service is 2nd to none. He answered my questions in a very professional manner and didn't pressure me or belittle the competition. I would caution everyone running stock a-arms to keep an eye on them!

Welcome to 2013. All joking aside, quite a few of us had this problem when the glued arms first came out. Subsequent years seemed to be better with the elimination of a gap in the weld that let water into the tube.
