Low Fuel warning light question?

When the low Fuel warning light come on a 08 xp summit 800, how much usable fuel is in the tank??

1.5 - 2 gallons or less than 16 miles

kinda is weird due to angles of sled and size of bottom of tank.
hope that helps it will go on and off at random sometimes.

My is still full when the light comes on.

I haven't figured out how well the gauge works on my 08. It's fairly useless most of the time since it depends sooo much on what kind of snow you are riding in, on a super deep day I still wouldn't be able to get home if I waited for the light. I top my tank off before every ride and keep track of the miles and base it on worst case. I know that doesn't help with your question, but I just don't trust the gauges. My oil light came on the other day while I was sidhilling and started to get me worried, I opened the side and it looked pretty empty. Once I got it on the flats I found out there was still half in the oil res.

My light went off on my way back to the truck the other day and I went 15 miles on packed trail and made it to the truck without running out.
