loud banging noise in drivetrain of a yamaha rhino?

buddy has a rhino.. upon acceleration there is a loud banging like something is slipping and then catches.. anyone have any experience with these things? it appears the driveline is just like any other automatic atv.. he says it has a new clutch in it.. etc..

got some advice from someone else that said it should have a seperate chain case and thats probably where the problem is, i just done see a seperate case or anything that lookslike it could be one..

2100 miles on mine no prob yet. they don't have a chain that i know of. belt drive to gear box and shaft drive to the diffs.

Mine did that after I hauled too much weight in it. I took it to the dealer so I can't describe exactly what it was, but basically the axle ends have some little sir clips that can get popped out if you mash down or extend the axles too far. It was like a half hour deal to tear it apart and put it back together with a 90 cent clip.
