hey guys i have a 2013 timbersled st kit on my 2013 yz450f, running a yeti front end. have my front shocks valved for my weight and also have some stiffer springs ordered. anyways the bike feels like it has a ton of front ski pressure and always feels like my forks are atleast half compressed. was thinking of doing to TSS but it doesnt seem like they make one for my year. any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated

800dragon, I am not an expert but, I'm trying a slightly shortened strut rod hoping, as others have mentioned, that it reduces ski pressure some.
Have you compared the TS ski/spindle to the Yeti ski/spindle? Any feedback on that comparison?

When I had a 13 I tightened the front shock and loosened the rear And Let out the front limiter strap, everyone said it would Screw it up but it worked great even in the deep stuff, also move the rear spacers to the top of the transfer rod, to get it to transfer more,

Thanks for the input guys! Defiantly will try that. As for the yeti ski\front end I'm really liking it. We don't have the best snow right now so I haven't got to give it too much time yet.

One thing to look into is the height of yetti setup vs TS If it's shorter from ground to axle it will put more load on ski and fork springs. Your changing things that were not made to go together so expect a change.
I personally don't care much for the aggressive feel of TS ski on hard snow so still run my home built skis most of the time.

Just get the stiffer springs installed. Then go from there. It should fix front end ride height issues if you went stiff enough.

Some bar risers will also help to get some of your weight back a little more while riding. I remember having the same ski-heavy feeling the first few rides and feeling like I was going to go over the bars. Upgraded fork springs and bar risers helped a lot.

Cobalt Cycles in Granite Falls, WA makes a third shock mount that is half the cost of TSS if you are on a budget and want to remove ski pressure. When used with a linkage shock the spring rate is about the same as used on a dirt bike swingarm. I have it on my CR500AF 14 kit and riding it I can't tell a difference between it and the TSS. I am sprung for desert racing and it works very well.

For me on my 13' SX it took
- heavier fork springs
- letting the limiter strap all the way out
- adjusting the front and rear shocks on the kit to match the limiter strap adjustment

That made a world of difference! It went from feeling like the ski was dragging me down to having to let off the throttle to get the front end back down! Huge difference. Best change I ever made with the SX for handling purposes and I'm sure the ST or LT wouldn't be much different.

In the pictures it looks like the strut rod is too long. If it is not adjustable, you can get a long drill bit and drill a hole further back on the skid that will lower it make it stronger.

Stiffer springs will not take away ski pressure. Take away ski presure and you might not need stifer springs.

Anybody know What ski is on that CR500af?
