Lots of injuries past week at Tog?

On Saturday 12/29/12 Bubba (this is his wife) ended up in Jackson's ER after he jacked his snowmobile straight up after hitting a log or something coming out of a creekbed. He and the snowmobile collided and his helmet flew off. He was knocked out for awhile. It also fractured his larynx (adams apple). Needless to say he spent the night in the hospital. Anyway while we were in the ER the nurse stated, "You all look alike today. Our ER is full of snowmobilers today with three more on the way." She was right, everywhere I turned there were snowmobilers! I also know the parking lot by Tog Lodge was full of wrecked sleds. :face-icon-small-sad Not a great way to spend your vacation.:face-icon-small-fro Hope everyone turns out OK. Bubba sounds like the dude on the Mens Wearhouse commercial, "You're gonna like the way you look." as he traumatized his vocal cords too. He can't ride for at least 2 weeks as another injury to this area could be fatal. My advice: get quick release helmet clips so you ALWAYS attach your helmet strap!!!!:der:

You know, something I noticed last ride out, were crazy tracks everywhere, where a sled couldn't even think of going 5 years ago. Nutty looking sidehills, tracks dropping off big rocks, etc. The sleds are getting us to places we shouldn't be. That and most of the country is out for their first rides this time of year.....

Don't believe I just read your statement about the sleds getting us to places we shouldn't be.
That's like the groups on gun control, the pen or pencil misspelling words.
We had 1 of ours guys break his leg 2nd day out, he's not blaming anyone or thing. If it were easy everyone would be doing it & they would call it skiing. And don't misunderstand me, people get hurt skiing to.

Snoclo,
I think what devil is saying is you need to ride within your ability not your sleds as a lof of us are not really the riders our egos let us think we are. I am not afraid to admit that my new 2013 Pro RMK is a much better sled than I am a rider!!

Yeah you're right,:face-icon-small-coo some of the guys at work had me a little fired up earlier, I was a little quick to jump on this topic. Probably a good thing I hadn't been drinking also.

I know here in Utah we need more snow. Seems that low snow pack is not keeping people from going out. This leads to broke sleds and injuries.
