Lost Snowmobiler in Fairview/Gooseberry

KSL reported a lost snowmobiler in the Fairview/Gooseberry area. It sounds like they decided to halt the search for part of the night, but were resuming again early this morning. Does anybody have any info on how the search is going? I know a few mid 50's snowmobilers from Springville who sled around Gooseberry and am concerned. I'm hoping this will have a happy ending.

One of the comments on ksl said that he has just been found by the search chopper and is ok. I hope that is the case. I'm sure it wasn't the most pleasant night.

Glad he was found alive! I've ridden with big groups before and it is very difficult to keep track of everyone.

Yep....got spot? Got rino? Both help in this situation. Have the rino.....need to get the spot. There is always next year!

I just got my spot off of ebay last month. I got the 1st model for $90 and it comes with a $50 rebate. I love it and so does my wife! The rino is good for the group you're with and the spot is good for those that are at home while you're out riding. Both are essential tools when riding the backcountry, IMO.

Really glad ol Doug is all right, he is a good old springville boy for sure,
heres a pic from a bike ride last summer, he is the tall one , in the back on the right.
