Lost Lake and Pville

Rode PV Sat. @M127, any trails are hard and bumpy, snow in lower swamps and lakes was crusted w/ 1/4" ice but deep powder below. snow in the trees was great...didn't make it past swan lk, due to rookie boondockers in group. Great day all told.

Made it back to the Dutch on Sat. Snow was good in the hills not crusted like the low land.

Rode Lost Lake Saturday 1/8

Rode Lost Lake Saturday, from the Primrose trail. About a mile in from the parking lot, there's an ice chute that requires work to get up. You can ride (with speed) about 2/3 of the way up, from there we tied a rope to one ski and pulled the sleds up from there. It's a short distance and a little bit of work, but after that the trail was good again all the way to the lake. Reports from other riders up there was that Firehouse trail is BAD and requires studs.

Lost Lake area itself...the hills have some pow and you can get stuck on them. The flat areas are fairly packed and tracked but there are areas of untracked pow, particularly if you get into some of the steeper gullies and more technical areas that other riders have avoided.
