Lost fox float pump - what to use?

i use an air compressor in my garage but should probably get something that works by hand. Will a decent bike pump work? Surely somebody is using something other than the "fox" brand.

Please advise.

Thanks.

My guess is air from an air compressor can contain more moisture, especially if the air compressor tank is not "cold". If taking air from a compressor that has been recently running a lot, then the air in the tank will be warmer and contain more moisture but if that air is allowed to cool, then excess moisture will condense on the tank walls.

??

Bike shops have pumps. Just make sure it will do the pressures you want. I think they have a few options.

A compressor could very easily blow the seals apart. 175lbs of compressed air moves a little faster than 5lbs at a time with a hand pump.

Thanks all. I only did it a few times and i set the pressure low. I will hit the bike shop nearby. How long do these seals last? How long do u guys go inbetween pumping them up? I assume aiir temp plays a role here. First cat and floats. About 210 loaded up. I think 60 lbs in front would b good place to start...thought?

well the initial setting for the barkbuster frt end reg fox is 120 pto side and 110 mag if ya got a aftermarket silencer..but your weight you probably will be around 90 ish...

reguardless...tie a zip tie tight around the shock and you can ride it and see how much your zip tie is getting pushed for travel info...you can keep using the same zip tie time after time..and adjust your air accordingly

I'm about 210-215 suited to ride. I run mine about 75-80 in the front and 130-145 in the back depending on snow conditions. The more set up the snow the more pressure I run.
