lost backpack in snowies

my strap broke and my backpack fell off my sled between outhouse hill and the greenrock parking area. Turned around and went back, found the strap but someone must have picked up the bag. I lost it on thursday feb.26 about 4:30 in the afternoon. It was a black S.O.S backpack with a blue shovel. It also had alot of valuable stuff in it. Most of which is only valuable if you have a supercharged nytro. I will gladly pay shipping and possibly a small reward if it is returned. Please call or email me if you have any info. 1-563-380-9187 thanks.... Mark

Hate to hear you lost your bag. I hope the person that recovered it will have enough curtiousy to return it to you. You know, you would think fellow snowmobiliers would be a little more curtious of lost items on the mountain and just leave the items lay for the rightful owner to come back and find. I left my tunnel bag open one day, hit the moguls at the switchback just above greenrock, and lost my snow bungie. There were a couple guys behind me (not riding in my group) that stopped and picked it up. My dad was behind them and confronted them about the bungie being ours and the smart asses actually had the balls to say "prove it." They gave us our bungie back but what's up with the attitude? We are all out to have a good time, not ruin it for others and be a bunch of jackasses.

I didn't figure i would get it back, but thought i'd try. Thought maybe once they opened the bag they would realize they had no need for a supercharger belt, jumper cables, super tip weight set, plus other stuff. Guess them belts are in high demand. Ya suppose they think if they carry it in their(my) backpack they can climb higher? Thats ok, what comes around goes around. I hope they get double parked. kinda boring with no fights.:D thanks again!!!!

Ya know it might be a good idea to contact the local sheriff's office If i found something like that I would make a phone call to the local snowmobile club and sheriff's office. might be worth a try

sounded like a good idea, so i called the authorities in Laramie but no luck! We checked with the lodges up top also with no luck. You know the old saying "it only takes one bad apple............" thanks again for the replies!

Never thought of it until your post, but I don't have any contact info inside my backpack. Might be a good idea to leave a contact number, address and reward if found info inside the pack and hope that if anyone found it they would give you a call.

I was thinking about it and I usually carry anywhere from $300 to $500 dollars worth gear inside at any given time. I feel for you lose.

Goodluck finding your pack.

Matt

thats a good idea if the person finding it doesn't need it worse than you or I do. Your absolutely right about the dollar value. With cost of backpack I was somewhere between 500 and 600 dollars. That doesn't include the mt dew and beef jerky. I hope the next time i'm there anybody with a black S.O.S bag with a blue shovel has the receipt for it cause i'm planning on tackling everyone I see.
