Lose all power with the duramax

07 new style duramax 80,000 miles ,super chip programmer,cold air intake, 5" from dpf back . Check engine live came on code p0678 which
Is #8 glow plug. Next day with check engine light still on driving down the road I lose everything all power for just afew seconds then everything came back drove 40 more miles with no problems. Any help? Bill

Do you have a short somewhere?
Also how long has the programmer been on? Have you checked the glowplugs?

I'd pull the programmer until you track down the problem.

Check out duramaxforum.com. Maybe a plugged dpf? I would return to stock and drive around and see what happens. With the extra fuel with the super chip you might be plugging your dpf more then a regen can clean it. I would check into a dpf delete and efi live tuning from atp trucks.

What? A dmax with a problem? Bug, MileHigh, I thought you guys said these were flawless and perfect pieces of machinery that never under any circumstances failed? Truly the Apocalypse is upon us.

Nothing is perfect but if its been modded you certainly can't rule out the aftermarket stuff.
