Lose 30 lbs from your IQ!

I sat down and priced out what it would cost to drop 30 lbs from my 800 RMK. It was well over $3K. Then I went on a diet with my wife. I tipped the scales at 205lbs. At the end of week 3, I was 177. What did it cost? About $ 45.00. I cant wait for the snow to hit. The last time I weighed 177 I was riding a 98 700 136. I already have a Holz skid so this should be a great winter. 170 ish HP and 177lbs is way better that 120 ish HP.

I weigh 205 as well and to get down to 177 I would have to revisit the "cocaine" diet from the ol' college days. Thinkin my wife might not like that but congrats to you

Congrads. Your a lite weight now. you'll have to strape yourself to the sled if you go over 50 mph or you'll fly off. :face-icon-small-hap

Still running the twins I take it??

Yup, and I just had Tater port it. Its gonna take a couple rides to dial it in but im excited to have Wayde's help. Im going to a Team Pink primary spring. 180/320. Even a higher engagement. That is what he runs in his 800 mods. He is pretty versed on tweeking twins from what I understand.

You are the same age as me. I would suggest it for both of you. It is easier to do it as a couple. My wife lost 20 lbs and looks better than she did before the 2 kids that are 15 months apart. If you do it together, she can prepare all of the pre-fab meals and you don't have too.

I was just curious what diet you went on that gave you such drastic changes in a short period of time that only cost 45 bucks?

Its called the HCG diet. It sounds really strick and you have to get a gram scale to weigh your food. The 500 calories/ day was something I never thought I could do, but with the HCG in your system you dont get hungry. I am the biggest "gas station meal junkie" in the world and I was able to do it with relative ease. My wife is a health teacher and confermed it was safe. The HCG basically trains your body to burn the fat and not the muscle so you dont look Calista Flockhart when you are done. Just google HCG diet. But don't buy the stuff online. There are alot of nature-path stores that carry the product as well as the instructions. A few chiropractic offices carry it to. 208-737-1430 is the number for Canyon Springs Chiropractic here in Twin Falls if you can't find it locally.:cheer2:

Pregnant women diet =D

I have heard a lot of good things about that diet. One of my teachers did it, he weighed in at just over 400, now down to 250. I've also heard that you gain a lot of weight back when your done using it. Have you gone back to your old eating habits? Or did you continue eating moderation?

Thanks

After the initial 3 weeks of 500 calories, you go on a 3 maintenance cycle where you are still cutting out sugar and carbs. If it is done exactly right, you should maintain. My wife is very black n white and to the book. She is loosing a couple oz. every day. I have been doing some mountain walking during this hunting season and have found that if I exercise then I can eat whatever I want. There were a couple days where I stayed home with the kids n vegged out. I did gain weight on those days. I DO have a hard time eating in moderation. I have switched to eating a variety of nuts n dried fruits as apposed to nachos, salsa, coke n whiskey. The 3 week maintenance phase is just as important as the first 3 weeks because you are re-training your metabolizm. You cant go from 500 calories to 2000 in one day and not expect to get phat again. I think alot of people cheat the maintenance phase. The cool thing is that if you pay attention to what you eat, if you gain one day then you know what to cut out/ eat less of the next day. 2 days ago I had a good amount of carbs. The morning, I was heavier. That day, I ate less carbs. This mornin, I had lost .5 lbs. The main thing it will help people realize is how OVER-PRAPORTIONED we eat. Now, instead of filling up a normal 10"-12" plate, we use the little saucers to eat with. I havent felt this good in 10 years, honestly. It benefits me in no way to network this diet, I simply would like to share my experience and wish anyone who commits to this the best of success. I just went on a few websites and started pricing lightweight suspension parts as well as anything else that could shave weight. It seriously does not take long to blow $3000.00 on stuff. NOW if you have the coin to drop on aftermarket parts then by all means lets spend $3045.00 and drop 60lbs. There's a thought.................

Hey Brandy, who is the hot chick on your avatar?

Good question who is that?? People are way cooler online. right.

LOL Some chick I hired to play me online... so I can be cooler! ;) She even posed as me in the Ladies Ride Calendar! :eyebrows: Pretty cool chick to do all that for me! LOL
Its called the HCG diet.

My co-worker did this diet and lost 48 pounds in a very short (like 2 months?) time. But then went off the strict diet and back to "normal" life and gainged 60#s back. Anytime you go on a "diet" you set yourself up for failure, IMO. Anytime you decide to make a lifestyle change you set yourself up for success. ALL IMO of course.

Sometimes you need a starter boost to get ya going and it sounds like this HCG diet could be very good for that! :)

Agreed, that you really need to setup a healthy lifestyle.

I really avoid eating gas station foods. I'll get a drink, even if it is soda but don't overdue it. Learn to control how much you eat. I used to drink at least a 6 pack of soda a day. now I drink maybe 3 a week.

I have also tried to cut carbs out of my diet in the evening. Protein (meat), veggies and fruits. Be careful with fruits, they contain a lot of carbs in the form of sugar.

Avoid processed foods, keep it simply, eat 1 ingredient foods, or at last some pretty simple foods with a few recognizable ingredients.

EXORCISE!! Not so much to burn calories because it is FAR easier to cut calories from your diet than it is to work them off, but to keep your heart and lungs healthy.

Carbs are evil:devil:

i needed to drop some weight from my sled so i started with me. i weighed 285lbs in january of 2008, then i went on the atkins diet. for two weeks you get 20 carbs a day and that's it. then you add some more in there as the phases go on. i stayed to 20 carbs a day for 4 months. i weighed 192 that june and have kept it off since. people said you gain it right back after that diet, every diet is like that, if you come off a diet and go back to your old lifestyle you'll gain it all back. some people said it wasn't healthy my health screening the year before to the one at the end of the diet (was still on it while getting screened) says very different, everything was in the green. i wouldn't recommend it as a lifestyle but to get the weight off and see good results quickly it works, then push away from the table before you get back in the same situation.
