so what's the best way to get rid of some weight on these things man got the sled running good fun to ride but what a pig and every thing you do ads weight to it. Just about ready to sell it and go back to a 1000 and put a twisted kit on it, I can keep up with a twisted 1000 on 9 to 10 lb of boost in a climb but my trench is about a foot deeper then theres what a trenching heavy pig. any Ideas summer is coming up so not sure how to lighten this thing up needs to loose about a 100 lbs. that would be about rite.

Contact JustBoostIt - lots of options available. I'm running an EVO BC250 kit, cold air intake, lightweight battery, straight pipe and now a C3 belt drive, so about 30lbs lost after adding skid plate and other goodies back on. As far as trenching, I found suspension work helps the most - running exit shocks all the way around & an OVS wheelie coupler, recently added avid 7 tooth drivers & a 3" track - will be testing tomorrow. Next step will be carbon fiber tank, hood, and tunnel as I can scrape the $$$ together

We are working with Kmod on a special Big Chute edition rear suspension. With the Kmod and 275 hp, the 1100T can do chute pulls as good as if not better than anything else out there. The Kmod is the best thing you can do to the 1100T suspension wise. There are many great things about the suspension, but my personal favorite is that in less than 10 seconds, you can go from Hillclimb mode which keeps the front end down on climbs WAY better than the stock suspension - even with the limiters sucked up and the rear float pumped all the way up - to big bump trail mode. This suspension climbs up on the snow like no other.

We will be doing a full write up on the suspension in the very near future.

weight

i am not sure what it would save but i would start with a strait pipe or light muffler then the hood, you need a to remember to bend your knees when picking that thing up. someone has to be making a carbon lexan or mesh hood for these.. julio

I have a straight pipe, carbon fiber hood and belt drive (not installed yet, waiting on a warranty matter).
This brings the sled quite a bit closer to the weight of a stock M8, but with 300 hp.

I got the big chute 275 you name it Kmod 20 grand into it the norm still heavy trenching sled does go good but if it would stay on top of the snow better look out. I pulled 18 chutes last weekend was impressive and sure it will be in the video but still missing my old M1000 twisted sled that was a true power house and with room to spare.

What track are you running? I've got a CE 2.5" 162. My '13 M8 Limited trenches more than my turbo from what I've seen.

162 power claw 2.6 love the track but it does hook up. Keven from Kmod give me some pointers to try with my skid will have to try them and see if it works out. Thanks again Keven for all the tips you have gave me.

I"d say talk to C3, WKM, or BDX... there's lots of light weight parts out there that will help ease the pain.

If you're keeping up with a twisted 1000 at 9 lbs... that's dam impressive.

BDX hood, trail tank, bdx front end... lots of options out there that take off good weight for the $$.

Snowlover whose hood and gas tank? Btw, I'm running KMODs on 3 sleds now and I'm really impressed. The T34 rides like a mid 70s Buick down a gravel road. Skis and skid going up and down like crazy but the bars and boards barely move at all. Still have more ski lift than I want climbing but that is easy to tune out with the KMOD. I'm running a KMOD on my Pro too. I was worried that it would make the sled "dead" handling but its just awesome. In the gnarly I run the skid on 3-4 and it slows the handling down just enough to make the really tough spots easier to get through. On the trail it's just awesome smashing the bumps, I actually look for big bumps to hit. The stock suspension on the Pro sucks so bad it's just a drastic change.

I've got close to 50lbs off mine with...
Diamond S hood
Light battery relocated under hood
Exhaust
Removed boogie wheels
WRP seat
There is a lot of lite weight stuff out there, just depends on how much money you wanna spend.
Biggest bang for the buck mo' power!

lite weight hood

not sure who makes the hood, just had edge power sports in slc get the stuff and is in the process of putting it all on now. Will run me around 5K but i cant stand the heavy feel of the sled, but love the power.parts coming out of canada
