Jon Allyn Gannon
Jon Allyn Gannon Jon Allyn Gannon was born Sept. 22, 1972 and passed away unexpectedly, as a result of an ATV accident, on Nov. 13, 2008. From a very early age Jon was filled with a life that included a profound love of family and friends; the outdoors (boating, water and snow skiing, hiking the Sawtooth's, hunting and cycling), and he displayed a wonderful blend of mischief and being there, always, to assist whoever needed his help. A student of Tang Soo Do and Ryukyu Kempo, he earned the level of 3rd degree Black Belt with his learned discipline directing his life attitudes and style. He was one of the "kind souls" we all want in our lives. In recent years, some of his best times were with his Uncle Brent (Carol) "UB" Smith, who introduced him to boating and ATV's; times with his young nephews who he introduced to the Sawtooth's and hunting; and friends like Mike, Murphy, Roy, Tom, Roger, Randy, "Rob Bob" and so many others. Born in Santa Maria, Calif., Idaho was his home. He graduated from Borah High School and earned an Associates Degree, with honors, from Treasure Valley Community College, and was a candidate for a degree in Criminal Justice at Boise State University. Jon leaves behind a constellation of family and friends who will struggle to fill the void that has been left. His mother Virginia (Ginny) Centanni; his "Pop," Dr. Russell J. Centanni; his sisters and brother-in-laws Julie A. and Joel Hess and Janelle A. and Bill Pender; stepbrother Joseph (Robyn) Centanni; stepsister Michele (Jon) Rachael; and his nephews and nieces: Mak, Isaac, Chad, Kozmo, Malachi, T.J., Sierra, Braden, Kyler, Garrett, Emma, as well as Ashley, Parker, Zaiden, River, Lauren and Emma will miss him deeply. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins are also grieving at this time. Jon was preceded in death by his father John A. Gannon and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Memorials may be made in Jon's name to the Sawtooth Society, PO Box 268, Boise, ID 83701, or a charity of your choice. A celebration of Jon's life will be held on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Bell Funeral Home, 9661 W. Chinden Blvd. The family will welcome guests at a viewing on Sunday from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel and again before the service Monday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.BellFuneral.com.
