Hi John, welcome to the Snow-Hawk Forum !
I'm not aware of anybody around your area that has one or who'd be willing to rent it or have you try it. I think Steve at Toys4us in Utah would be the closest guy. But really, the guy with who you will want to talk to about this is Tony Sexton, he knows just about every Hawkers in the west of both country by their first name and would be the one who can refer you to somebody. The best way to reach him is by phone at 206-999-9729.
Now I'll add this; I think the best way for you to try one (or actually try the whole line-up) will be to join us at Lolo Springs, MT on february 13-14-15th. We're having our annual Hawkfest reunion / meeting. Hawkers as far as South Dakota and Alaska will attend this event. And anybody interested at trying a Snow-Hawk and find out about what the sport is, is more than welcome to show up and ask for a ride. We're all open to chat & give you a few tips so you can enjoy the ride !
Last year, at least half a dozen sledders showed up and got to try the 503, 600 & 800 machines. One of these guys got one early this fall... ! Was it worth coming and trying the whole line-up Goodspeed ? Hahahaha !
So I think your best bet would be to give Tony a call first, then write this event on your calendar second ! If you're in need for anymore information, let us know, someone will reply for sure !
Hoping to see ya there and trade you my 800 for a quick spin (after you got at least 30 min of experience on a 503, then 600 !!!) so that I can try an 800r powered sled to see how far our 800ho engine stands from the new motor... !!!
