looking to pull the trigger on a new air box

I am ready for an upgrade, and I would like to reduce some weight and get some better air flow. Just looking for some advice Here is what I have so far:

SLP - Expensive, adds some power, tough to install, kinda bulky.
Timbersled - cheap, light, easy to install. I read a post that it produced 3 less hp then a stock air box but that was at a stand still and with more cold air I think it would do better along with a hood-vent kit.
Fire-n-ice: Expensive, I heard they are good quality, but do they add any power?

If there is any other air boxes for the fusions or custom ones anyone made, let me know.

"Biggdawg" has a nice custom intake and I took his idea and ran with it. Works pretty good as far as I can tell. There's a thread or 2 on here that has detailed pictures and parts but this will give you an idea. I've got probably $60 into this with the filter being the most expensive part.

i would also do the mod that BD did with his intake...if i dont do the turbo that is ;)

otherwise, i would only use the FNI intake...

Mine is quite similar, air filter right behind hood vent for plenty of air. E-Bay all parts in kit about $75!

For an off the shelf intake.... I'm a fan of the FNI unit... plus the intake screen behind the windshield And the combo intake screens.

Nice work on the custom units above.
