Any recomendation on a self guided - good hunting, but reasonably priced option for pheasant hunting in South Dakota or Nebraska?

Thanks

try Arthur at Lakeview motel in pollack sd 1-800-521-6951 you can hunt his land plus there are tons off section roads and ditches to hunt. alot of the farmers will let you hunt on their land, you just have to ask permission and be respectful and they will not charge you. all we had to pay for was the room prices and nothing else. I have heard of farmers charging 100.00 per gun but have never had to pay. last year was unreal, so many birds.

bastard! now maybe I will have to drive a bit south when I am there to put some lead shot in your a$$! :beer;

Better use steel shot if he is standing on public land! LOL....my room mate accidently grabed a lead load and put it in his pocket last year. Shoot a few rounds off and reloaded with the lead round....sure enough a few minutes later he was stopped by the GFP. I dont remember the exact ammount but I know the fine was $100+.

All public land is steel shot now!? I remember certain areas say steel shot. I hate steel shot! :mad:

I would say mitchell and parkston are both full of birds. there are several places that will take you hunting I can find out for you if you really need. I am not sure but I think you can get food hunting and lodging for 250-300 a day

walk ins are not public land so lead is ok to use. i will be in aberden on opeaner too.

oh ya....thats right...the Fish and Game leases the walk in areas from farmers or the farmers just donate it.

No birds here.
Everybody stay home.
Maybe next year, but I doubt it.

Maybe try Iowa, nobody's home there anyway.
They are all here fishing.
