Looking to buy property in lake wenatchee area.

I will be purchasing some vacant land this year. I hope to find some acerage in the lake wenatchee area that you can ride from. I do not know the area very well, and would like some input. I am looking for 1-5 acres and would like to stay around the 100K range. if you know of any nice lots or can give me some leads that would be great. It needs to be buildable, and accessable year-round.

Up to 150K if neccessary. Just not sure of whats in the area. Searching through properties online, and I have no clue as to which area is feasable.
There seems to be some reasonably priced acerage on the north side of lake wenatchee. Can you ride from that area? I guess I just need a resident to fill me in on which area to concentrate on.

Property?

We have a cabin at Fishlake and as far as I know the only places you can get to the trail system from are Chiwawa Pines (not sure on spelling) and the Fishlake area,(Idelwild,Alpine tracks, Cascade Hide-a-ways).Contact Steve Craig at Lake Wenatchee Properties as he knows the area very well but make sure you tell him that you want to ride from the cabin to the trail system. Also there is a area close to the trails called Whispering Pines and I think some of the people make thier own trail to the trail system, but not sure?. Snowhunter

Good luck finding anything. Been looking for property over there for years and each year I kick myself in the azz for not buying 10 years ago. Prices over there are crazy.

good luck... we were looking for years and 150k for three acres is what the going rate is. but that usually comes with utilities. if you want to go more north you can still buy property for around 50k but it's a five hour trip from the west side. if your interested in renting a cabin check out www.lakewenatcheehidaways.com and she manages around 20 cabins that are really nice and they access the trail system. mountain view is my favorite

It's a fantastic place to be and not a bad investment. Just got a couple more parcels and should be moving in a couple years with construction starting soon. Time to leave the rat race of the west side.

An hour further north from Wenatchee, but if you want to ride steep and deep, head to Pateros at the base of the Methow Valley.

Har,har. There too, I stopped in Pateros for fuel and there was a sign saying that sleds were ok on the side streets. Calling me a 206er, I can spell Pateros..........You 206er.:D

you funny too:)

ok,ok heres the deal mr., there ain't no snow in Patteraass, so you can't ride even if it says you can, and to be honest, probably never will be.

so anyways, enough of that, the snowmobiling is good up the methow river towards winthrop

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will put them to good use.

If you find more than one lot let me know (maybe even split a double lot if you want). I've been looking to buy there for about two years now. Put offers on many pieces, particularly lots not for sale - straightup cold calls. Great place all year round, though the sledding is not epic by any means. Still a great place with good riding and awesome dirt biking in the summer.

Love it there.
