The el nino pattern is sometimes hard to read and I dont always have alot of faith that it will reduce snow fall or winter conditions. Has it happend? Yes. Has it made for record snow fall? Yes. In conclusion, it is the weather. You never know what is going to happen. No one does. Some where there will always be snow. You just have to chase it!!!!

The El-nino we had a few years back was GREAT for mountain snow.
It pretty much killed the snow in the flat lands.
