Looking for weekday riding partners

I usually ride Wednesday Thursday or Friday with a occasional Tuesday sprinkled in. I have also done some night riding where appropriate.

I need to find some guys to ride with as riding alone is to much of a risk. It challenging to find folks to ride with during the week.

I am a Colorado native, years of experience in the backcountry, I have avalanche training and gear.

I enjoy riding Rabbit Ears, Spring Creek, Leadville, Wolf creek, Gunnison and occasionally the mesa. I try to avoid summit county but am open.

wasn't there a colorado based snowmobile riders group posted up here a while back?

Oh, I'm drug free and prefer the same, just saying.....

I'm way out on the Kanas line, so don't get up as much as some guys. But when I do, I'm more of a week day rider. Usually around Gunnison more than anywhere, and sometimes Wolf Creek.


If Cottonwood would have a good year, that would be nice.


Anyways, i'll send you a PM and give you my number and see if we're ever around at the same time.


Doesn't hurt to post here every time you go up, just to see if anybody will show up. But from past experience, the numbers are pretty low for people that actually will.

I ride a lot of Fridays. I'm a few miles north of Durango and usually ride Wolf Creek, Molas Pass, Lemon Reservoir and Beaver Meadows when it has snow. I'm gone over the holidays, but will be itching to ride when I get back. Send me PM if you want to meet up.

You guys are brave, that or have lots of a-arms. I don't get serious about the ears until its sitting around 8-10" of water or a 36" base.

I would love to get some flatlanders lost. Love the ears !

I wasn't trying to come across as a prude, I have met up with guys before that were high before they got there. Riding is dangerous enough, and in CO that's more and more the norm..........

I should have said I don't mind going out with newer riders. Older riders are alright too, reliable and wise !

Me and another guy will be out in January from IA sometime when snow is good. Usually just. 2 of us and maybe one or two guys from Walden where we stay. You can get us lost if you would like. We usually ride buff but I wouldn't mind ears. Just don't get down there much. Usually ride wed- Fri or Sat. Want me to pm you when time gets closer.

We will be riding the Wolf Creek area on Jan 3,4,5, mon-wed. Staying in South Fork. four guys ranging from 35 - 60 years old with mountain experience, all on 154 -163 summits. This will be our first time at Wolf Creek, so would be glad to have some local knowledge! Drug free, no alcohol till after the ride!
