Looking for some set up tips for a MCX 180hp kit.

I have a 2010 nytro with the mcx 180 kit. I was told that the sled was set up from the guys that bult it in PG! I'm having problems making boost once I get up around 5000 feet also low on revs. I have tryed to shorten my waste gate rod but only makes a difrance down low. From what I understand I should be making closer to 7 lbs of boost at 5 to 6 thousand feet please correct me if I'm wrong! I would really apretiate any tips on tweaking!!
 
thats correct. and yea u have tighted the waist gate spring to it should run more boost. u will prob have to turn it back once u get this problem fixed. to be honest check all pipe work and header. mine breaks the exhaust pipe off into the turbo once a year. loose all boost. its about 6 inches before the turbo where it breaks.
 
Check for leaks. Also what clutching is in it? Do you know? And what track do you have on it? Lots of customers complain about losing rev's and not making as much boost when they switch from the stock Maverick track and put on a Challenger Extreme. But by the sounds of it if you are turning the wastegate rod shorter and not making more boost you have a leak. - Cody
 
If you have boost down low but not at elevation your problem is the TCV valve or the baro sensor. The kits are delivered to run at sea level and the TCV etc adds boost as you climb to compensate for the lowe O2 content of the air which is what it sounds like to me. You could either fix the system or install a manual boost controller and control it yourself. You will be low on revs because of the lack of boost, cure the boost and the revs will come up.

Thanks guys!! The one question was what track I'm running.it just the stock maverick 162! Stock clutch and mcx weights... When I got my sled the turbo was damaged in delivery and the waist gate rod attachment point was bent so it would biend when it tried to open or close!
