Looking for some help with my clutches

Hi guys and gals,

Looking to dial in my clutches on my 2012 assualt 800. The clutches are runnung hot and glazing / destroying belts. I have have blow hole kit to help with heat clutches still run hot, better then before the kit mind you!
All the riding I do is wfo as much as possable in as deep of snow as i can find. Like to play on the hills and in the trees. Elevation is under 3000. Anyone have a set that works?
Im 250lbs in street cloths.

This is my set up right now
144x2 track
8tooth 2.86 drivers
20/42 gearing
72g mtx weights
Blue/pink slp primary spring
Blue/black secondary spring
Stock 64/42/36 helix

How many miles on the sled/clutch?

Delrin washer in secondary?

Sticky/ flat spots on rollers (most likely)
Worn weight bushings ^^^^^(chicken or the egg)

And also as mentioned, alignment....
Motor mounts wore out?
Mounting strap to crankcase bolts loose?

Your clutching calibration should work great at that elevation.

I do have the derlin washer

Clutch components are all good

Have looked at the mounts and do believe they are punched out. Ordering new ones today, and going to use TRS's method to align the motor then see how that works.

I figured my clutching was not to far off was just wondering if anyone else had a set that worked awesome.

I will post resaults

Thanks for the info Reg

Also 2060 miles on the sled, 1500 miles on this clutch set up.

Typically 400 ish miles on weight bushings.
Rollers can be shot in 200 miles or 800 miles.

I've had a clutch I thought was good to go (as in rollers felt great) burn belts, after swapping to a new/take off clutch gain rpm consistency and belt life/ 150-200 rpm.
$350 for a take off clutch is cheap compared to the price of belts.

Do the mounts first I suppose if they have never been done.

I didnt think things would wear out that fast, I will have to look at my clutches closer. Still going to do my mounts as they have not been done before and there lots movement in them. Appears to be flat spots warn in them.

Well started to dig into the sled, found a few things lol.
Went to clean and inspect the clutches again, when I pulled the primary off the bolt and movable sheave came off in my hand. ( broke off flush with the stationary sheave) :(
Aligment seemed to be off so I looked into the mounts ended up pulling the
Motor and the mounts are punched out bad.

So on that note good thing i ordered the new mounts. Also odered a new primary clutch, primary slp blue pink spring, and new secondary black purple spring, just to make sure there fresh. I also made a set of torque stops like slp has for both pto and mag side of the motor. Cleaned and inspected secondary, the rollers look nice and feel smooth and the helix ramps look good as well.

Once my clucth comes in im going to align the motor using TRS's method and with the torque arms and new parts im hoping all should be well!
