Looking for riding buddies

:rose:A friend recommended this site to find riding buddies. I am fairly new to snowmobiling, just got into it last year but now have no one to ride with. Last year snowmobiled mainly in the Rose Lake area. Any one heading out and willing to take a newbie along I would love to go.

You can usually find people to ride with. It helps if you tell people the basics about yourself. Like what kinda sled you own (I see a dragon in the picture), off trail or on trail, hill climbing or boondocking.

Where is Rose Lake????

Well, I'm sure some of the guys will jump at this, not very often a lady asks to ride.

Well a ex-boyfriend got me into it last year and I bought a 2009 Dragon 800 because he and his friend liked to climb the hills and make there own trails. They said it was a good sled for that, I was really loveing it and haveing a lot of fun, getting better every time we went out but we are no longer together and now have nobody to ride with but have a sled and an addition.

Hi -- I just moved here. I ride a 2006 Ski Doo , also very new to the snowmobiling. It would be awesome to go riding with another chick. This will be my first year riding in Western ID - since I live here now. :rose: I have ridne Island Park. I hope to ride in Northern Idaho , WY or UT this year.

I would get a hold of PowderGirl on the forums... she has started up a ladies ride forum on another site. They get together a few times a year and ride, they are very supportive of one another. Also 2fun4u would be another person to get a hold of, Tammy rides a lot in the Trinities.

Snowbunny and Backcountrybabe- def hit us up, we ride that direction a couple times a week and would love to have ya tag along, besides we would prob learn something:-) Ride UT WY ID MT and BC every year so yah ur def more than welcome, just pm me

no kidding, especially in ID;)

Really you will have luck finding guys to ride with, heck I live in MN and I found guys in ID, WA, and MT who took me in and showed me the hills.

I see you like to ride east of Spokolohomo....well the Spokane Thread is where I met the guys who took me out. Just drop in over there and make introductions. There are even some chicas that hang out in there, Skadi, revbabe(who let me borrow her sled), Mini stops in once in awhile and a few more.

WOW Wade! Not only were you the first to spot this thread, but you did it in record time (18 minutes from the posting time).................. We need to ride together more, you got some swagger brother. You must have the radar up! I'm just kiddin, but isn't it funny how when some poor fella, who just wants to ride, posts one of these looking for someone to ride with, all that he gets is "we'll be in such n such parking lot at 8 if you want to go". Except for you, of course. I must say, Wade is more than willing to ride with anyone that wants to go! He might not show all of his "secret spots", but he'll dang sure take you on a good ride. PM me sometime Wade, we'll have to plan some rides.

:) Just trying to help. Yep, that time I meet you guys in the parking lot, that was a fun day. Anytime you want to go, just let me know. Drag your buddy, and M7Bandit with you, well go find some fresh. It's not that I won't show you the secret spots, it's just that my sled won't carry that much gas. :)

cool to see more girls start riding.
Don't run into that many up on the hill.
Lots of places to ride. pilots peak, west mountain, and trinities are the main places I ride. Lots of others like fair field, jackson peak, bear lake, deadwood, bennet mountain, etc.. that can be done in a day ride.
also mccall, and sumpter, but I like to stay for more then a day if traveling that far.
usually ride a minimum of two days a week. :D

Greetings SnowBunny84 & BackCountryBabe,

Have you ladies considered joining a snowmobile club? It's an another way to network and meet fellow sledheads.

The Courgar Mt. Club has a warming hut along side hwy. 55 near Smith Ferry, ID. with access to trails and the back country. Our next club meeting is on November 04, 2009 in Meridian, Id at the Idaho Pizza Company on Fairview at 7:00 pm.

If you have another ride area in mind we can provide you with contact names as needed to expediate your search on November 04 at our meeting.

My Bride and I are members of the Cougar Mt. and West Mt. snowmobile clubs both ride areas offer great riding opportunities.

At your convenience let me know if one or both of you ladies would like to attend our next club meeting, you'll both be WELCOME!

Craig.

SnowBunny84 and all I mostly do my riding out of the Trinities I know the terrain fairly well enough to have beginner riders to expert. It's all about getting out into the great outdoors. Anyone is welcome and as long as we can split the fuel to get to the hills or I'm usually at Trinity Creek parking lot around 7 am so that means with Concreteman and I leave about 5 am out of the Nampa area. Makes it a long day but it is truley worth the effort.
