anyone know the ride in priest lake to the pencil chute coming from sandpoint? i left the sled and it is over the ridge from this area( approx cord i did on google earth --Lat: 48 32' 29.31"N Long: 116 41" 7.17"W) Am trying to locate a track if i can and change to ride out over to sandpoint side, supposed to rain sunday, this will not be good, also have thread on the general snowmobiling forum, posted under trackstab, the area is described more there, thanks for any help you can offer, to remedy the situation!

we had a heli airlft one from the same area 2 years ago was 500.00 bucks ...he even set it in the cack of truck
if your track is a 15 wide 159...i can loan you mine to get out

Where your sled is it would be way easier to get it out on the Priest side.
ya a tow tarp and you would be able to get it out...coming in from the sandpoint side, (Pack River) you have some good hills to get it out of.
Thanks guys, thats kinda what we came up with before someone told us it may be easier to go sandpoint way, sure do appreciate everyones input and help to get a guy out of a bind, will be quite a deal draggin this out, never been the guy who had the bummer day before, just takin my shot at it: will let you guys know how the drag goes though...
how do you do it twice?
We did a swap in three hours, got the new track on and 5 minutes after that, hit a rock on the way to pull the hill and head to the truck, hiked out and doubled up, was a real letdown.. had two guys with and we almost got fogged in on the way out, was bad and blowin hard, had about 10 in new since sat, snow was good, couldnt see worth achit on the way out. So i get to do it all over again when i get a new track.... Keep me posted on conditions if anyone goes out this week/weekend, sled is now a few hundred yds lower on the hill from sat, over the ridge from pencil chute and soldier bowl... creek bottom on ride to pack area!
