Looking for pcv map for kx

I'm looking for a power commander v map for a 13 kx450f with the tss air filter pod and yoshi slip on. Bike doesn't run very well with the closest map I found.

blacklabel28,

Since you've added the Slip-On exhaust, but also paired it with the POD filter, it does not appear that we've developed a map specifically for that setup.

While I cannot attach maps directly to this forum page (unsupported file extension) I can recommend navigating to the page for your bike on our website at http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/ . Once there, the bottom of the screen has several maps available - opt for the 17-038-001 map which is designated as a stock map with the green plug FI adapter. This should also be close for the White adapter if you're running the aggressive mode.

This -001 map is a little bit leaner than what we've come up with for comparable Slip-Ons which helps for winter riding. If it still needs more tuning, most likely you'll be leaning the map out. A general guideline can be -4 across the bottom, -6 across the mid, and -8 across the top.

Thank you for choosing Dynojet Products!

Thank you T.J.

The 001 map worked a ton better, slightly more backfire but its running a lot better and less hicccupy/Rich. Temps seem to stay at about 163 while moving, does that seem acceptable?

Hmm my bike runs pretty good with a full yoshi and TSS intake. Only issue I have is trying to keep the temps up. Try stock tune??!!

blacklabel28,
Great news that your bike is running better. The increase in backfiring is most likely a side effect of pairing the intake kit with the exhaust and our map not totally dialed for that setup. In the operating areas where the intake kit provides a more effective suction than the stock airbox the map will be a bit leaner - but this will not be all time. In those small areas where it does pop, try adding a few points of fuel to clear it up. If this happens only on throttle chops (decel pop), you'll want to target the 0-5% TP / 8000RPM + to tune that out. It's a very precise area that can only be tuned out by having this intricate level of control without throwing blanket fixes out where the bike doesn't need it.
The 163* Temp looks great! Keeping the burn optimal using the PCV map - which is subtracting out the unneeded over-fuel symptom - keeps the burn efficient, and thus your engine temps right where they need to be.

Enjoy the riding!
