So I currently have a 2013 SBA 144, with a 14x144x2" track, factory 23-39 gearing, factory clutching. I have now put 350miles on the rig, and have come up with a few things that I would like to try and sort out. I put zero miles on the sled with the factory 1.35 track, and love the 14"x2" for my flat land type of riding, ditch, trail, back country, lake running ect. Having beat the snot out of it under these conditions, I am super impressed, yet there is room to improve. Maby splitting hairs here, and it wont always be perfect.

#1 the peak RPM's vary quite a bit? can see as high as 8400, alot of the time it runs on the 8-8200 range, but some times only pulls 7900. I would blame it on the snow, but have tried to test it in all conditions, seems not to matter. In looking at the clutches sheaves, the primary seems not to be shifting fully at all times, but with doing the marker trick on the sheave, it will "wipe" the mark. My intial thought is to gear it down some, and give the motor/clutch more mech. advantage over the track. I don't want it to over rev though, and this is my fear. Try less finnish force on the primary spring? I had droped my 11sba down one tooth from 23 on top to a 22, and would buzz the rev limiter quite often when you nailed it from mid range up.

#2 I swear the sled runs better on the eth setting? Little more power, and cooler. No big deal, but just found it odd, as my 11 def ran better with the non plug. Any one else "feel" that. This was just swaping back and fourth on the same tank of 91 non eth. Eth setting ran 120-130 and felt snappy power wise. Non-Eth, 130+/- all the time, and just felt less resposive, not that it ran bad, just not as good.

#3 swaped out to the BR9eix, as I did a plug check on the factory 9es, and they looked way to dark for me. I guess my question is, am I running to much oil now? currently at some where between 45 or 50:1. Have not touched the pump arm, and have been running oil in the tank as well. Am I running a little to much oil? putting WAY more oil through this sled, than my 11.
