Looking for H.A.C.

I have a 1998 Summit 500 and the HAC went bad. I know a lot of guys took these off because they didn't like them, but I would really like to replace mine. Does anyone have an extra one they could part with that works?

Do a search on here, a few years ago some guys were getting replacement HAC diaphrams from some ultralite guys on the west coast, or maybe Nevada. There used to be guy on here called "Coldfinger" who seemed to have all the info on the HAC system, search that also.

I recently removed the HAC from my '95 Summit 583 and am in the process of determining the proper jets for my location. So far I have installed #50 pilots and #290/300 main jets. This is still too rich for my current riding conditions of approx 45 degrees F at 6000-7000 ft. So I will try #40 pilots and #270/290 mains.
Note: The Minkuni rep told me that the plugs at the "front" of the air bleed passage should be removed. These are the slotted screws that appear to be similar to air jets, but are in fact solid. Also, the larger port on the side of the carb (it is common to the air bleed passage) should be capped -- I think I used used 7/32 caps.

I considered getting a replacement HAC module, but the owner at one of the most respected California Ski-Doo dealers (Tom's Snowmobiles) told me that even if I could find one, they sometimes go bad after only one season.

I did try to "adjust" the old HAC module that came on my ski according to the information I found in the posts mentioned earlier, but I was unsuccessful. I am sure that the diaphragm is in good condition since it does not leak, but I just could not seem to get the thing adjusted correctly. Maybe I was just not patient enough.
