Hi MV,
Always up for a ride. I typically go with my wife, her on her sled, and ride down in Taylor Fork and Buck Ridge, but we go all over (Gravellys, etc.). On the way out, she generally runs the trail with me off in the trees running parallel to the trail and we stop in all the glades and mess around. When she is with, I generally don't bring us miles off the trail and don't lead her through crazy terrain which works fine because there is always plenty to keep me entertained right next to any area she likes to ride. The beauty of snowbikes.
Would be fun to get out with other snowbikes. I've only run with sleds which, of course, makes me feel like a hero even with good sledders, but really I'm fairly mellow compared to a lot of other snowbikers; or at least compared to a lot of the better known guys on this site. ha. I'm a boondocker and sidehiller; not a cliff hucker/jumper... but not a grandpa either. I just got the kit mounted again for the winter and am tweaking this week. We've been out on plenty of snowmobile rides so far this season, but I was just slacking getting the snowbike kit put back together. Hope to get out this weekend for a shake-out ride since I just replaced the bearings and mounted it up for the season, then should be good to go for the rest of the season.
Wife and I are always up for others joining us (snowbikes or sleds) and we both have ABS backpacks, Transceivers/shovels/probes and training...and she is a nurse so extra safety perk there! ha.
I'm also looking for some rides with just myself and some other snowbikes this season so I'll be in touch.
