Looking for Blewett Pass Conditions Update

Want to go riding with newbie friends and want to make sure about conditions before driving all that way. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone have close to Seattle alternatives for mixed terrain similar to Blewett or Reecer Creek?

Thanks:face-icon-small-hap

It was groomed last night it seems. Smooth all the way to Lion rock.

Excellent coverage at the upper meadows, but crunchy snow. Wind blown as well. Back in the tree pockets there are areas of soft powder. Maybe 10" or so of "newer" snow.

Riding out of Taneum can offer you similar riding, if you know where to go. But, fewer large meadows at the sweet 6000ft level.

I hope this helps.

Regards

we where up there last weekend, tracked out in all the obvious spots, still a good ride, nice riding out threw the burnt trees and off the beaten path , trails where groomed

Rode Blewett our of Mineral Springs Friday (family ride), and Reecer Saturday (newbie ride). Its in great condition, from Nanaeum to Table mtn. If you have an option, wear a black jacket. That way the charcoal marks from the tree branches don't show.

A little off topic. Never been to Red Top lookout via mineral springs in the winter. Have friends (dad and son) that are new sledders, but getting comfortable on their sleds. It would be a trail/scenic ride, but are there openings/meadows/hills to play on?

They enjoyed Blewitt/Haney/Lion rock last spring.

There are a few meadows/hills, but not nearly as much as Table.

Suggest that you might want to ride over to Red Top from the Teanaway up Jack or Dicky Creek. Also Shirk is a fun area too. :face-icon-small-hap
