Looking for a wicked Carbon Lightweight Helmet?

Is the Menz Toys guy on this forum?

If so, i have a couple of questions for him . . .

1) do the goggles come with a nose protector? That is pretty important to me!

2) I see the US distributor has the same price ($259) as the B-PWR (Canadian) site has. Shouldn't the price be less in US dollars? The exchange rate is .82 so that should make the US price $212.38 if my calculations are correct.

It says they run a little small, so it would be good to try one on before you buy i guess. Will these be at the Boise Idaho snow show by any chance?

The helmets do fit a bit smaller, i normally wear a small and have a medium, however there was a guy at the booth who wears a large and he said that would be the same in the B-PWR helmet.

no nose protector, however this issue with nose protectors is they don't fit well in helmets, that would be the case in this helmet goggle combo

Did you look at the Judged helmet too? Wondering which one was lighter and more comfortable.

I actually bought the judged helmet at haydays. The judged is supposed to be 980 grams in large so it would be lighter. I didn't make it to this booth. I'm sure I walked by it but didn't stop as i had never heard the name so I can't say which is more comfortable.
I did try on the Klim, 509 carbon, fly carbon, and motorfist alpha. I would say it was as comfortable or better than all but the Klim to me only having them on for a minute. The Klim was really comfortable but a bit heavier and $500! So I bought the judged, the owner seemed like a real nice guy.

Oh good! Maybe Wayne will chime in here on the following . . .

1) Weight of each size of helmet

2) Will there be a nose protector available on the goggles. (in the video, it looks like there is plenty of room for one). These are critical. Seen several frostbitten nose tips without them :(

3) If one indeed needs to buy one size larger helmet than they normally wear.

4) Pricing discrepancy on CAD vs US prices. Canadian price is $259. US website shows same price. The exchange rate is .82 so that should make the US price $212.38 . . .?

Cheers!!

Just checked the helmets I have in stock they all say 1250 grams +or- 50 grams. When talking to Claude he mentioned that these are designed for mountain riding so there would be no nose protector. With all the venting they would be quite cold for hi-speed long distance trail riding. The price is $259 CDN. so when purchased the cost would be calculated by the website to U.S. dollars. I sent one to Montana this spring and with exchange and shipping it was just shy of $200 U.S. When I do the declaration for customs they come under safety head wear so there was no duty or tax. Hopefully this helps a bit, my email is menztoys@shaw.ca thx Wayne

Thanks Wayne - - good info.

So around 2.6 to 2.8 lbs for the weight.

On the nose protector . . .will there be an option to ADD this in the future? We do "mountain riding" in 0 to -20 (F) temps, (that's -17 to -28 (c) for you guys) too, and when one gets powder on the ole nose and it melts a bit, then turns to ice with the cold temps, it WILL frostbite the nose, so that is why it is SO important to have the nose protector.

Menz Toys are only a distributor for western canada and western USA and not the developer or designer. Wayne is also a mountain rider so I am sure he gets what you are saying.
