I am from South Dakota and have never rode in CO before. I see some posts by Burandt and a few people with lots of snow. Where would be the closest place to go for a weekend and ride with great snow right now.

Thanks

Ride Rabbit Ears Pass and stay in Walden or Kremmling, unless you want to pay big bucks and stay in Steamboat..

We are supposed to ride around Buena Vista next week. According to snotel, the snow depth is marginal at best.. I hope snotel is wrong..

Monarch got 20", looks like maybe a foot on the saint Elmo cam. So far not worth the two hour drive for me. Within two weeks, I would expect at least one good storm, but this year's not normal. Other places have more in the state if you're geographically flexible.

Was at Cottonwood last weekend. Very little snow and a previous high wind storm put fallen trees in some very unexpected and unwanted spots. Think we will look for someplace else this weekend.

Hope your not paying the big bucks to ride with BBA. Snow is marginal at best in the BV area currently.
