Hello fellow snowesters! As my screen name suggests, I am sledless. I have been since I got divorced in 2008. I have been saving up money here and there, which being a full time student/single father/unemployed it has been hard. I have $1500 now saved. I am wanting something that will let me play in the powder. I realized that is a very low low budget for what I am looking for and I realize I will probably have to settle for something I can turn into what I want over the next couple of years. I need something that is very mechanically sound.
I am not trying to play on any emotions or anything, if I cant get something this season than it is not meant to be.
If you have any suggestions or a "back up" sled that never gets used that you do not really need to sell but don't like it just sitting there all the time, maybe consider me. I have been scouring Snowest, KSL.com, craigslist, ebay, the nickle saver papers, everywhere and can not seem to find the right sled. Obviously, everything I seem to find is out of my present budget...prefer a gen II or newer and a 700 for reliability. I would prefer as long a track as possible but am willing to settle for whatever, knowing that i can change that as funds allow.
So, like I said, I am looking for a good, reliable sled that will let me play in the powder and my current budget is $1500.
