Looking for a good Snowmobile Lodge in February!!

Hey guys,

Sorry if this post is redundant, but I just need to get something set up soon for a family sled trip in Feb. I'm a Colorado local and have a cabin in the hills but this year we are looking for a lodging resort that we can sled in/sled out for a long weekend. Something like Thunder Mountain Lodge, but thought I would gather some input from everyone. I'd like to try out Southern Colorado if anyone knows of a place down there. This will be a family trip so a place that has decent amenities and maybe a restaurant and some resort options like hot springs or hot tubs, maybe a pub...Any input is appreciated. Some places I'm considering but looking for more options:

thunder mountain lodge
electric mountain lodge
saratoga resort and spa
vagabond ranch

I have just what you need. Vagabond is the closet to you. Know nothing about Saratoga. Elec. Mtn. you have to snomobile into which sounds romantic but in reality is a pain in the arse as all your gear has to go in on your sled and the snowfall there is usually quite a bit less than the west end of the Mesa. They are also on the south side of the mountain and quite a bit lower in elevation. If we can help let me know. 970-856-6240 or www.thundermountainlodge.net to see pics from here. Thanks, Mark

Thanks Mark. Yeah I definitely have heard great things about TML. It would be a decent sized group so how do group rates work? We are talking probably 8-10 people. Maybe more

You Will not be disappointed with the TML expirence! Mark is awesome and truly treats all the guests as friends! Roscoes has a great menu and the food is great! Every group I met and rode with last year was very happy and have solid plans of comiing back this year!(despite a bad snow year last year!) We have some of the best riding in the state on top of Gm with a very wide variety of riding styles! There are hundreds of miles of groomed trails for a family, novice rides with lots of small hills and open rolling parks along the trails to play on! For backcountry riding there is big climbs, big open hillsides that alow for miles of open sidehilling, lots of tree riding in the steep and deep that alow for some pretty fun adventures for burandt/Rasmussen style Riding! The area Is huge and we have an average of over 400+ inchs of snow!

TML is definately the way to go for good people and great riding on the west slope. If you're looking to go south Silverton is nice. Check out the Bent Elbow hotel, sled friendly owner. Very high avy danger down south though, so make sure your group knows their stuff.

This is exactly what I'm looking for because my family will likely want to do the lower level stuff and my buddies and I are seasoned experienced boon dockers. So this sounds great! It'll be a good prerequisite for the forum ride too :face-icon-small-hap

Thanks for the help guys.

We bill per person, per night. I have one cabin that sleeps 11 in 8 seperate beds. If you are bringing that many, give me a call, I am sure we can get together on a price. Thanks, Mark 970-856-6240 or thundermountainlodge@yahoo.com.
