I've got my eye on a 2002 summit X with a 2003 OEM 800 HO motor, and a 2006 151 x 2.25 x 16 track and skid and boss seat. it sounds like a Frankenstein mess but it looks great and the guy said the new motor has 400 miles on it.

I'm 5'7" 145lbs and experienced enough to know how to control the sled and throw it around. but is this thing going to cause me more problems down the road being 4 different sleds mixed into one? and being the bigger zx chassis? the asking price is just below $3000.

just asking for your guy's advise. I'm not lookin to climb HUGE mountains but i like to go into the unknown. anyway please reply.

I bought an 02 800X last year with a 2003 800 HO blown motor. It came stock with a 144 x2. I rebuilt the motor and installed a 156 x 2 with anti-ratchet drivers big wheels from a 07 summit and loved the sled. In fact this year installing a 7" riser from an 07 summit(can't wait to try it ) .As long as the track runs true it should be no trouble . Just my.02 worth

As long as you know what has been done and what is what, why would you have problem fixing it?

You told us in your first post that it has a 03 800ho motor and a 06 skid under it in a 02 summit chassis so I think you would know if something broke down on it what to get. JMO

If I were you go with the REV you will not reget it. They say at around 2000 miles the top end should be looked at and possibly replace the pistons and rings. Not that tough of a job if you know your way around a tool box, and really is not that pricey. If you decide to replace the pistons go with a dual ring piston, they are supposed to be better and maybe even last longer.

alright, im lookin at an 04 summit with 2200 miles and the guy hasn't touch the engine. SO my guess is that it will need rings and pistons while its apart. and yea im a pretty good tool guru.

My brother let me ride his 04 summit last year and i was like.. AHHH this is crazy! cause im used to riding my 97 mxz and when i got on his im like.. wow totally different and easier to control... ugh alright now i just gotta get some money and make a decision. thanks man.

I might be contacting you for info about piston stuff.
