lookin for a new pistol.. suggestions??

currently have a springfield xd 9mm subcompact and a s&w 12 guage for home protection.. looking for something to maybe carry in the truck as i am always in all sorts of shady areas.. i love the xd! looking for something in a compact or sub compact.. any ideas?

I just read your title and I was going to say springfield XD 40. But you have the XD 9. If your lookin to jump up a little go with the 40, I love mine. The bullet is a bit slower, not as hot, and packs more punch than the nine.

How about a good old plain wheelgun, fastest handgun out there, reliable, it takes practice though, so does any handgun and you dont have to hunt brass except right at your feet. And you won't look like a crazed gun owner if you use it in self defense like using some custom race gun.

never used a holster but, all you have to do is modify the foam in the case and its fine.. i love the laser but, th elight is pretty much good for chat.. then again, never had to use it at night. i guess it would be great if you had to use it in the middle of the night.. oh, the light gets all full of gun powder after 100 rounds or so..

Does anyone have any experience with that new FN FiveSeven yet? It's an interesting round, 5.7x28, but have heard anything but great things out of it! Better body-armor penetration than a 45 acp, less recoil, and comes from the factory with a 20 rnd clip. Haven't had the chance to hold one, are they comfortable?

How about a CZ 75 Compact .40? I really like my CZ .40, its more accurate and smoother than my buddies xd40.
