Why?

I still do not understand why people do not have probes & beacons, and been to a class.

He is still an accident waiting to happen. Near the end of the interview he states that everyone he rides with now wears a beacon then corrects himself and says "nearly everyone". If we're goin into the mountains and you don't have a beacon I ain't ridin with you. That is the last question I ask everyone in the group as we are heading out of the trailer, "do you have your beacon on you and turned on". Check everyone as they leave the trailer, turn yours to receive and make sure theirs works as they file past. I quite often have a spare if someone has forgotten theirs at home and I've lent it out many times, it's my life they may be saving by wearing one.

You are not preppared unless EVERYONE has a probe, shovel and beacon and knows how to use it. I actually have an extra shovel, probe and beacon when I go out for someone who may not have one but I don't even let it get that far. If i'm going out with someone I don't normally go out with I check with them the night before to make sure they have a shovel, probe and beacon. You don't have those three things I ain't ridin' with you and don't follow me. Dig the fearless hoodie Kevin.

Come on people. Its your LIFE, its not something to take for granted. You only get one, get smart. By not wearing a beacon your putting yourself and other people that are SMART enough to have one at risk. Wake up, i like how the stepbrother or whatever he is says, "ill always look up the hill now" because the snow thats going to fall has huge orange letters on it AVALANCHE. What if is all you have to ask, what if the step brother was also in the any, then what?? Good luck with seeing the avy before it happens.
