We were only supposed to have two inches in the next 24 hours. Must be that global warming.

I don't understand....When I grew up (late 70's beginning of 80's) we all heard amongst a lot of things that we had to beware and take care of the environment because our pollution would block out the sun and we'd have a new ice age...that and nuclear war of course....
We got 9.8 inches now and as I remember that was normal....at least it was before...

Weve got about an inch on the ground here in town. The mountains are supposed to get quite a bit more. My 6 year old just asked if we could go snowmobilin' today :)

its sorta just flakin away here in bozeman, mt... but the ski resort web cams are covered in snow, so i dont know how much the hills are gettin!!! woo.... time to check more weather forcasts!

EDIT< here is the warning for here!

RAIN AND SNOW HAVE ALREADY BEEN OCCURRING OVER PORTIONS OF
SOUTHWEST MONTANA. PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE TO ALL SNOW TONIGHT
AND INCREASE IN COVERAGE. MODERATE ACCUMULATIONS ARE LIKELY WITH
2 TO 5 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS AND 6 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE 5000 FEET.
IN ADDITION... GUSTY EAST WINDS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY REDUCED
VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY
ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATIONS AND EAST TO WEST ORIENTED MOUNTAIN
PASSES.

Now we have over 2 feet and we have spent all day knocking the snow off our 4 big ash trees because the leaves are still on and it is tearing them down. Oh well.

its pilling up in bozeman, mt.. about 4" in town(4900'), 6+ up a tad higher towards the hills(5100), and who knows how much up in the hills.

It is dumping here!!! we had 6" at my house this morning when i left for school and it has not let up!!! If i get out of lab early enough tonight i am going to go for a quick ride in mmy field!!
