Longest Stud Clearance

What's the longest stud anybody has ever ran in an Edge chassis with stock drivers ? I know a 2" track will fit and it looks like there is about 2 and 1/8 clearance before it will physically hit but that doesn't take into account the track ballooning out around the drivers at speed. How much extra clearance should there be to allow for the track ballooning out? For anybody that has scrapped the heat exchanger, how long of a stud were you using?

I'm planning on doing a little hillcross racing with it this year. :face-icon-small-hap

I had a Polaris 121x14x1.75 snocross track on a stock 02 XC SP and it had Woody's Mega Bite studs that stuck up past that, I believe they were 1.85". I ran the track 1 year and only had some minor scrapes in the front heat exchanger. Hindsight being 20/20 I probably should have had some protectors on there.

That's good to know! You are the first person I have come across that has run a studded 1.75 snocross track with the front heat exchanger still in there. Everybody else that I've talked to with that track has taken the heat exchanger out for racing. Do they make front heat exchanger protectors for an Edge? I could probably make some but if somebody already makes them that would be a lot easier (or at least give me something to copy).

I would really like to run a studded 1.75 snocross track on there but don't want to worry about it everytime I get on the brakes hard or if the track gets a little loose.

Anybody have any ideas on how I can protect the front heat exchanger or would I be better off downsizing a little bit by put a studded 1.5 track on it and not worry about it?
