Longer track OR Deeper lug

Im looking at buying a new sled and just wondering what other people think. My options are a new m8 153 and put a 2.5 lug under it or a new m8 162 with stock track (2.25). Right now I ride a M7 153 and like the length for boon docking. Also which would be the better way if i was considering a turbo???

Thanks

162. it's 2 to 3 more paddles on the ground so it's not like you wont be able to boondock it and it you are going to boost it, it's not like you will have a lack of power to turn it.

shorter track = much more fun in the trees and misc. stuff with the turbo will be fine in the pow,, longer track with turbo much better hillclimbs... I want both.

get a powerclaw, you'll have the ability of a 162 challenger. (actually seems to work better than the longer track)

I ride a 162 and have riden several 153, for a big guy I dont see realy no differance in boondocking from the lenth. For a medium to short guy maybe there is a differance.
But just like backcountry has said a 153 powerclaw acts like a 162, the grip and the lighter track makes it a big deal on any sled.
m8rider has a 08 M8 ,changed his sled to a 153 with a powerclaw and it is a huge differance on that sled get a powerclaw nomatter what.

Get a 162 if you dont like to be stuck . The 153 on boost is like a fat chick in a g string , only good if you dont know any better. I am on a 162 PC , and i am thinking about a 174 3" for my 09 TM1.

Do your friends a favor , get an 09 M1000 162 .:yell:

well im going shorter this year, to 144
last season on 162, i have to travel 15+ hours to the mountains( snowies 4 times) and while we hit the pow one time , the other times it was hard to find any lines to challange the 162. even the time when we did hit fresh deep it was still pretty easy to just pick a line and go , didnt have to worry about much and that got a little boring.
i rode my back up 136 last trip as the longtrack had some issues during the trip and i had a ton of fun on it
