Im interested to know how many miles/kms you guys are getting out of your quick drive belts before failure. I have over 5000 km on my 16 155 and am wondering if im on borrowed time or can I expect to see more millage.

Poo says QD belt replacement @ 2000 miles (3200km). This is from the owner's manual.

I'd say you got your moneys worth from that QD belt. Time for a new one.

Thats incredible life, like anything, worth replacing as its a stupid thing to have fail due to poor service interval.

Also they are so light you can easily take the old one off and keep it as a backup in a tunnel bag or ziptied up under the hood.

I have had over 3000 on multiple sleds and no problem. How often you guys change out your bike belts? I blew one on my Victory but never on a sled.

only one i've personally seen fail was the first gen on a high boosted sled, it had about 600 miles on it, newer belts, at 10-14 psi, 1000 miles+ zero issues :face-icon-small-coo

I was just talking with my dad about this last week. He said, "Ya know, I think is should probably pick up a new quick drive belt. It's the original belt and it seems a bit lose." The sled has just shy of 10k miles on it! He has the 'if it ain't broke, no need to replace it' mentality.

This is the info im seaking, not, i think you should change your belt, i wanna hear real world numbers or what caused failures. My 16 belt still looks great, no cracks, loose fibers or chipped cogs plus i never jump or shock load the sled.

I do A LOT of creek hopping and i mean a lot, definitely shock loads the sled hard. My track which i run 1/2" sag with 10 lb weight (tighter than spec) has ratcheted at least a dozen times and with 1500 miles my belt still looks mint.

Just because you can do it, doesn't mean it's a good idea. I bought a Toyota pickup with 320,000kms on a timing belt with a 150,000 kms replacement interval. So it made it that far....possibly had more in it?? But it's pretty tough to recommend that as a good plan.

That said...we've taken several mountain ridden RMK's on trade with 3,000++ mileage on the original QD belt.

Ive never seen one actually break in 1/2. Most of the time they loose a few teeth off them and even with a section of teeth missing you can usually still ride them back to the truck.

I've been runnin a QD since 2013, put on average over the last 5 yrs 2000 mountain miles a season on my sled and I've never broken a Polaris QD belt. Never even seen one break actually. I carry a spare QD belt wrapped around the spare clutch belt & holder and then zip tied in place.

I have been changing mine at 2,200 miles, I have never had one fail. I think there is a real possibility they could run 3,000 to 4,000 miles, they look a bit stretched at about 500 but don't appear to look any more loose at 2,200.

I have a 1600 miles on mine with a sidekick. I have only seen the gears fail and the bolts

1130 miles 16 axys, silber @ 7lbs since 400 miles. Belt looks like new. It has had a TKI belt tensioner on it as well.
From everyone I've talked to, I've never heard of one failing. Which is a good thing, seems like they've got them dialed in

Mine was replaced before season, on warranty. 1000miles/1600km service. On a PRO RMK 800-2018. It was some threads loose in one area, did not break, was spotted during service by dealer:)
