Logan vs. Sundowner

We are looking at upgrading our trailer to a gooseneck. We have looked at both Logan Coach and Sundowners online. I am looking for some input from those who own and can give some incite on the benefits or problems with said trailers. Thank You!

What are you looking for specifically? Horse trailer? LQ/cargo combo both in either open model or seperate? Pure "sports" cargo?

We are looking for a sled/utv trailer mostly. We have kicked around the idea of some living space. Must hold a minimum of 4 mountain sleds.

U can also order logan as a all sport which will lower it but have wheel wells. Personally if I went logan that's the way I will be going. Wheel wells don't bother me near as much as the extra height. They both make a really nice trailer.

I toured the Sundowner factory in Oklahoma last fall. I can tell you they build quality trailers with attention to detail. Also their showcase they host that is open to the public/dealers. Many great reps to talk with and check out various sundowner trailers in person. Sundowner is all aluminum. Only issues I have heard are some trailers are outfitted with Lippert Axles and some were Dexter axles and there were Lippert issues so in this case supplier issues, not Sundowner. Also finishing material, which again, is supplier issue, not Sundowner. Dealer service where I am at or anywhere near me in the northern states remains a question mark....which is why I have not taken the plunge yet. I m in the process of doing the same with the Logan Coach and need to visit their factory and talk with their factory reps but with the covid pandemic I have not been able to yet. I am not a fan of the horsepower model, but rather the ultimate sport model for its multi use. Also not a fan of their weight. From a strictly snowmobile themed trailer, Logan has perfected/nearly perfected their offerings. Instead of Sundowner, I would go with the Mission Elevation since it is all aluminum and caters to the snowmobile crowd.....they are trying to compete with the Logan. Sundowner can build you a trailer to your spec's but its snowmobile crowd is not an area they have put alot of attention into.

I currently have the Mission Elevation gooseneck....probably the first customer with that model released in 2019 that I ordered new in 2019, which is all aluminum. They build real nice. But, they did not build it the way I asked for which is why it is for sale. I've hauled sleds in it, side by sides both on tires and tracks in it, cars in it. Drive 80+ and tows like a dream. I ordered it before I visited Sundowner and yet a chance to visit Logan. I may end up with the Mission again, hopefully, built exactly how I wanted it built.
