Lodging around Burgess Junction

A group of four of us were hoping to head to the Big Horns from Fargo, ND over presidents day weekend. I called Bear Lodge only to find out that I can get a room for Friday night and Sunday night but not saturday night. This is the same situation with elkview and arrowhead lodge also. Is there any place else to stay out there that is close to Bearlodge for around the same price. We are familiar with this year and would like to stay around this riding area. I would like to avoid sleeping the trailer that one night haha. I guess I should have got on this sooner but it was a last minute February trip we were hoping to get in. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Well I think that is it for lodging around Burgess. I believe that Ranger Creek and Snowshoe Lodge are closed this year.

High Country is another option you might look into, it's on the Lovell side but very nice people and fun spot to stay since it is right in the middle of the good stuff.

id say go for your time, im sure someone will not show and a room will open. They will always make it work out for you. Great people!

I'd still go

Heck, I would still go and drive to Sheridan for one night. Not a big deal, sometimes when we go if we can't get any rooms, we drive up and down every day to Sheridan. Sure, it sucks but it beats the heck outta staying home. Good Luck. I heard they just got dumped on, I'm trying to make a trip this weekend if I can round some guys up.

x2 drive to sheridan, or check out sat morn, leave your rig at bearlodge, throw ur toothbrush and fresh socks and whitie tighties in ur backpack and make a day riding in the "High Country" and spend sat night out at that lodge (20Miles West of Bearlodge on trail). They have gas and its a very quaint place! Ride all day sunday out there again and return home sunday night and check back in or load up and head home!

Go to Bear and if you don't have room one night stay at the bottem of the hill in Ranchester. When I first started going out there we would alway stay in Ranchester, leave your trailer and sleds up at Bear and just drive your tow rig down.
