Locked thread?

I was curious why the "Thanks Christopher" thread was closed and locked? I wanted to post one last message in there thanking(not sarcasm) GMILLER for his PM to me. Again, this isn't sarcasm, but being truthful. Either way thanks for your explaination and apology. Accepted and returned.

No Mods or Admins want to reply? I think it would be the polite thing to do. Perhaps I should have been more clear and directed it specifically to them. I was also surprised to see how heavy the ban hammer was and how many times it has come down lately, as well as stories of deleted threads, PMs, and other locked threads. Yes, I do think things may have gotten a little out of hand in some of the threads. There is no need for name calling or abusive comments, but there were a number of valid points made. Is there any way of deleting the replys that are "misdirected" rather then the whole thread? By deleted complete threads, I feel it is only complicating matters and further frustrating members that have invested the time in expressing their feelings.

The thread was locked before it spiraled down in to something ugly.

I stated in the thread I wasn't interested in arguing with him. He seemed to accept that and I had already moved on. Too bad it couldn't have ended on the positive note it should have and not caused more clutter by starting a new thread.
