loading a dead sled

Bought a sled deck. Any hints about loading a dead sled? Bought a manual winch that will hook to the bars protecting the cab but a little worried about bending the aluminum. Thinking maybe using a length of rope to attach to two places and hook winch to that to dispearse the load.
Any pointers will be appreciated.

Are you worried about bending the aluminum bars of the headache rack or the sled?

I think the rope idea would work fine. Any way to add a tie off point in the front of each sled spot to hook to? I have a come-along in my trailer and a length of rope to pull sleds. I just use a D-ring in the floor and it has worked fine. I do use a loop of nylon webbing to feed around sled parts then hook the cable hook to that to minimize damage to painted parts.

Worried about the headache rack. Figured I could tie the rope off around the box frame of the sled deck then up to the deck. The come along strap runs to the sled where I figure I can hook to a sled tow strap or straps hooked to the A-arms.
Since going up a pretty steep ramp I'm thinking I would have to hook up fairly high or use 2 different winch points. Play that last part by ear I guess.
Thoughts?

Damn, threw the box away for the hand crank I just bought from them. 80 bucks and makes it a ton easier.
