17 days they were thought to be dead. There govt never gave up on them and they prevailed. I remarkable story. Heck we cant even get our govt to protect our own people on Falcon lake! OR EVEN look into it.

Heard today on the radio that the last miner to be rescued will have his wife and girlfriend are there to meet him. Seems they both showed up and met at the site. Might be worth watching later today to see his rescue. Wonder if he will dive head first back into the hole?
Hell we can't even have miners stay alive in our mines if they get in trouble and yet a country in South America can keep theirs alive indefinitly and resuce them.
actually it was the familys fierce insistance that initiated the rescue to be put into motion...the govt originally did give up on them from day one...i do give the govt credit though for giving in to the families persistance that did initiate a serious effort many days though after the cave in
