Like the top says, we're planning a trip to little sahara the weekend of 5-8. So far for sure, I'll be going, maybe killerk (my bro), my dad, a few of his friends, our friend Dean, another friend named Brad and his family, and whoever else would like to go.
When I was younger, what started out as a church youth activity soon grew into an annual tradition to go to the dunes for a 4 day trip. At it's peak, we'd have a group of probably 50 to 60 people go down. We'd all pitch in so much per person, and one person would be in charge of the buying the food, another would make a roster for assignments (like who was cooking breakfast one day, and who was doing the clean up). Even though we didn't all ride together all the time, we'd get together at set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate like kings, and had about 6 coolers out at all times full of soda, and when you got thirsty you just opened a cooler and got a drink. It was always a blast, but unfortunately over the years dwindled down to just a handful of guys keeping the tradition alive. Now we go down and take our own food but invite everyone and anyone to come. So as I've found out that there are a lot of good people on here, I'd thought I'd invite all to come who want to. We'll camp at Oasis. Hope to meet some more of you down there.
