Liquifier 440 ?

Anyone know the operating RPM of a 1982 Liquifier 440 with the Kawasawki Liquid cooled motor. Trying to tune this sled for a friend but really need to know that spec. The poor bugger is wanting to race a 79 Blizzard 9500 this winter! Right now without any clutch work, and not shifting out all the way, 50mph @ 6000rpm is all she's got. Any ideas? or is this all his old relic has? Thanks

Darren.

I put 10000 miles on one of these. they need to run 8250 to run hard. I don't know if they will keep up the Blizzard but should be close. the JD only has 65 hp but is a lot lighter. if your tr800 clutch is worn out you will probably have put a comet on it as you will have a hard time finding parts for it.

Thanks, I will pass on the info. It allready has a Comet on it, but is in need of a rebuild. Guess it all depends on how much $$$$ he wants to throw away on this little competition.

I think with a good clutch it will be a closerace but the 9500 will take him. I hated those damnnnn things when I rode my ole Liquifier in the day. Them were some fast ole sleds. If you get it running right and end up racing them get some pics!

I think that was the same motor that was in the Invader or Intruder wasn't it,I know my old invader use to run at least 8,000 maybe more!!! Ran like a scalded dog, gotta watch the PTO cylinder those were notorius for losing the crank seal and wasting that piston and jug! Have fun makin her run!!!:D

Thanks guys, it should be fun but I do agree, the 9500 probably has the edge. I might have to convince my buddy to invest in a small nitrous set up. Anyone seen a Liquifier on the spray! Could get crazy!
