I'm surprised what it costs to be honest. Has anyone used the Herculiner kits and done it themselves?

I bought my Duramax Line-x'd up to the trim molding. I would highly recommend it. I had Remuda Mfg in Denver Line-x a later rack they built for me and that stuff they used is really tough and didn't fade over the three years I had the rack.

I think Fordman had his wheels and bumper's done I remember seeing something in an old thread last fall or early winter. I've been thinking about getting my bumper's and step's done on my truck as the paint is peeling off . I considered powder coating them but I'm stating to think that I might end up with the same results as now. Has anyone had there bumpers powder coated and had them last?

its kinda hard to see in this pic, but on my old truck i did it myself with some of that duplicolor spray on bedliner in the rattle can. i just masked off along the body line and sprayed from the body line down and the bumpers. it turned out pretty good for a lot less than a professional job. sorry i dont have any lighter pic where you can see the bedliner stuff better.

How did it hold upon the bumpers ? Where Wa. with the chemical they use on the highway it is very corrosive and has done wonders on my bumpers and under carriage.

it held up fine except where the original paint on the bumpers flaked off underneath. it probably coulda been better but i didnt put much effort into the prep.

We can do spray on liner for anyone in the Seattle area. We use a product call Full Metal Jacket. Holds its color and sheen as well as any. Can also top coat with a clear to keep the sheen for a long time. Can do truck beds, fenders, rockers, trailer floors, tractors, equipment, etc. Black, grey, tan and white are common colors. Any custom color is available but your going to pay. :beer;:D

My buddy did my rockers on my 2000 Dodge this winter using Herculiner, looks good. Not sure what bruch/roller he used, it has a rough finish. Black truck, black Herculiner and seems to hold up good so far. I'm sure he could have put on a smoother finish, but I like the rugged look.

Its bull what they charge for line-x.They could sell 10x the product if they would lower the price.

Yeah they charge through the nose for Line-X, BUT IT WORKS. After seeing the roll-on jobs and other spray in liners I'd do nothing but the Line-X. I've seen them take years of abuse from snowmobile carbides and the Line-X still looks good, and the other stuff, not so much. And no, I'm not a sales guy for Line-X...
