What are some things i could to lighten up my 2000 mountain max 700. Thanks for any info

take out the engine. j/k. hood and seat will get you the most for your $. stock skid sucks. you can save some weight and improve performance there too...

Get an MPI rear transfer kit. It removes the control rods and replaces them with a limiter strap. Last time I checked they were about $50 and it saves 5lbs. Take off the parking brake and carry an o-ring in you pocket to hold the lever, that saves 1lb. The next cheapest weight you can take off is by replacing the stock muffler, should be good for 7lbs or so. After this stuff go to the seat and hood for more big numbers (and big $$$). Stock ski's are crap and have a heavy saddle, loose them and have a better handling sled and drop a few #'s.
