Yes, money is power in every single nation on this planet. Even the socialist countries, except that there is usually more government corruption and contols on freedoms to keep the masses in check. If you can come up with an alternative that works let us know.

After listening to american news all day today I cant believe all that is going on in the USA.Everything from charging 50 percent more for people for healthcare because they might drink or smoke or not quite fit the set out weight height age ratio,all the democrats that are either appointed or elected that have ties to terrorist,child pedo's,tax scams They are all criminal buddies.And then they all tie to Obama some way its unreal.I cant even begin to list all the things I heard about the people and the ideas they have that run the country.Sad thing is all their friends are chomping at the bit to get ahold of canada too.

I heard that chit tonight on O'Reilly....amazing. I agree that insurance companies should give incentives to be in shape and not smoke. But, the government trying to penalize people equals COMMUNISM!!!!!!!

All the talking heads are squaking about how it is a good idea to make fat people and people that smoke pay more.
They say the level at which the fines would be leveled wouldn't affect most people. Well, what happens when the feds discover that they can't pay for obamacare?
Guess what, they lower the limits and bring more people into the "fat" or "bad" catagory as a way to raise more money. THere is nothing that would stop them from just moving the bar up or down however much they want.

Sure, he was a totalitarian and fascist which means that his regime was based on the total control of every aspect of public and private life by the state. He did believe in capitalism....shocker huh....I don't know how capitalism can survive in that kind of environment though.
liberals have there place in our country. and i dont see how liberals stip us of our freedoms when they are they ones who are for, abortion, gay civil unions, and in some cases the legalization of marijana. now i can see the conservative view of this also. they tak away land usage and gun rights also. soo i guess we need liberals to protect our pro choice veiws but i wish they would stay away from the gun rights any land usage. maybe we just need a liberatarian prez!

Capitalism survives in a fascist regime because in that type of government typically they stay out of the private sector, for the most part.
Exactly. There are conservatives that have taken away civil rights just like there have been liberals that have done so. This thread has a fair amount of hypocrisy in it.

The liberals and the conservatives are all held in check if we do ONE simple thing.
Follow the U.S. Constitution.
Your rights are spelled out pretty planely there. It's just a shame that the federal government has decided the constitution isn't worth following anymore.
Take that with the fact they just put a U.S. Supreme Court judge in place with a 60% overturn rate. How do you turn the country liberal, how do you take away their rights?
Do it legally, put judges in place that will do it for you.

Number one of them, urserp the right of the state supreme courts to hold sway over in state issues.
It is NOT the U.S. Supreme courts job to oversee the states on in state issues, they do it anyway and it has had dire consequences.

Hitler was a facist and a socialist. Socialism describes his overarching political and economic ideology and facist describes his lust for power. All dictators are facists whether they're benevolent Kings or genocidal despots.
Hitler's hatred for the communists was purely meglomaniacal, and nationalist in nature. He viewed the communists in Germany as impure, agitated by, Russians, Slavs, Poles, Jews and other "mutt" races. He also saw them as direct threats to his quest for power. Otherwise Socialism is nothing more than unripened Communism.
Wrong. In a facist regime the government controls everything: prices, wages, supply, resources. Sure Joe shopkeeper gets to stay in business...as long as he pays his bribes on time.
