trying to figure out how to get more room on the tunnel top, figuring this is the best way to get alittle more. thinking about a custom fourbarr led tail lamp on the tunnel extension cap above the flap mount area.

appears alot of western riders dont have tail lamps on their sleds, or am i missing something.

thanks in advance. ski

Here's just what I did. Nothing major.

i did the same thing. for those wondering, the spacing on the reflector is the same as the spacing for the screws on the tail light, so it bolts on quite easily. just needed to extend the wires a touch on my sled.

Timber, yours is nice with the hidden wires.

timber, lets see the routing underneath. how did you keep ice from building up on the wires under the tunnel trying to rip them off? thanks for the pics. anyone else? ski

I didnt extend the wires. I planned on doing it but never got around it. Didn't have any problem with ice build up but only rode it about 5 times in spring hardpack with it like this. I'm going to support the wires to the tunnel and that should keep any ice buildup from tearing off the wires. The wires are long enough to connect but if you want to route the wires along the tunnel side at right angles, you need to extend them. I'll get a pic of it & post today

this is on an MCX kit, you can't really see it on the first picture, but it's right behind the seat on the tunnel block off plate.

Fourbarr LED Under Tunnel Install

<reposting from another thread>

After smashing my rear tunnel into a tree thus taking out my stock light I dropped a Fourbarr LED in. Ran the wires under tunnel using landscaping watersprinkler tubing and some electrical brackets, riveted to the stock holes. Turned out pretty good. Plenty of room on top for a gas can rack.

does anyone know if fourbarr still sells their custom leds? bought one a few years ago, but their website is down. the only things i can pull up on a net search is resellers. hate to order one and they are not available. any help appreciated. ski

called the number listed in the yellow pages, they answered first ring and yes you can still order the customized logo taillamps. i asked for a yamaha lamp the gent on the phone says, "i beleive i still have one of those in stock, i'll sell it to you for a smokin deal" took my contact info and cc number and said it would ship today or tomorrow.

ask and you shall recieve, never rang more truer. ski

Seattle,WA locals, just drive right up to Marysville and pick one up. Snagged mine on my lunch break one day and got a way better deal then what they were listed on their website for. Plus its cool to compare if you want to check others styles out.

Here's mine. I modified the stock plastic to fit on the back. I wanted to be able to install my bracket for hauling fuel.

Does CMX still make the grab bar with the led light in it? I have one on my apex and it works great. just started on my nytro and am trying to solve the light problem.
